OVERVIEW
The Need
Security and Event Solutions are a specialist provider of unique VIP production, event and security facilities at UK festivals and events. In one of their most recent assignments at Electric Woodlands, they were called in to create a 100% reliable site-wide connectivity solution.
Previous companies offered dongles and satellite solutions, but the location was rural and all they experienced was unreliable connections.
They contacted our reseller partner, Start Communications, as they needed to ensure all vendors and production teams would be reliably connected in order to enable cashless payments and provide connectivity to staff working at the upcoming event.
The Solution
Cloudcell Technologies were called on to install a bespoke solution and provide a reliable high-capacity WIFI and EPOS connectivity over the 4GLTE cellular network.
There were several engineering challenges faced by the location…these were overcome with the use of multiple directional antennas and a total of 9 dual-sim Storm solutions with access points across the site. The final solution delivered:
- Internet for the production office
- Epos for the bars
- WiFi for artist liaison and a Green Room
- WiFi for ticket scanning
